Scowl Cowl: An Update

So, I finished it, didn’t like the way it turned out and returned it to its original state.

What do you do when your project isn’t what you imagined…rip it out or stuff it in the back of the closet?

  1. 😀 Both. I rip things out and start over frequently but if I’ve worked a long time on something, it can take eons to convince myself it’s hopeless. Doesn’t make sense though. I’m the kind of person who jumps into the cold pool (gets it over with quickly) instead of slowing wading into it. You would think, I could decide quickly that “returned to it’s original state” (I love that, btw) would be the best choice.

  2. Most of the time I get a feel half way through a project, if it’s a negative feeling, I rip it! However, if it strikes me as something one of my friends or family members would like, I continue, then gift it to them. 🙂

  3. if i liked the yarn alot i’d return it to it’s ball-stage and try something else.

if the knitted item was OK but i just didn’t want it for myself i’d give it away– eg. “Goodwill”. The next person could decide whether to use it as is or turn it back to yarn and a new project.
